Home Staging Tips in Boca Raton- Is Your House Ready to Beat the Heat?

If your house is on the market make sure it’s ready for South Florida’s Hot Summer months!

Hopefully, you’ve consulted with your Realtor and Home Stager long before you put the For Sale sign in the front yard….. your pricing is competitive for your area and you’ve listened to your Stager and followed their suggestions on how to make your house appeal to your Buyers.

Don’t Overlook these 3 tips for the summer heat!

1.  In Florida our grass, shrubs and flowers look like they grew 12″ over night.  As we enter this season, make sure you ramp up your lawn maintenance to meet the needs of your lawn.  You may have to mow every 5 days instead of 10 or 14 but you’ll want a healthy trimmed lawn to attract Buyers!
Have your sprinkler system checked especially if you plan to be away from your property.  Remember, your curb appeal will set the tone for the rest of the viewing.

2.  Check your ThermostatBuyers can’t focus on your house is they’re overwhelmed by the heat.  They’ll want to leave as quickly as they can and return to their air-conditioned cars.
If you’re away during the day or will be traveling make sure your house will be inviting to your Buyers!

3.  Florida Buyers want to be outside!    That’s why we’re here!  Take another look at your deck, pool and patio area.  Does it look inviting?  When it’s 80+ degrees outside, nothing says “Buy Me!” better than an inviting pool and patio area.  If you don’t have a pool service, make sure you are on top of the chemicals and cleaning.
Make sure your furniture is clean and if it is in need of repair, fix it or toss it.  Get rid of the “extras” that you’ve stashed outside because you don’t have anywhere to put them.
